Swimming, Garage Sale, & The Lake

Jeni & I took the kids to Roosevelt Pool. The baby pool was being filled, so we had to fill an hour & a half with other activities. We started with the playground & ended with a ride on the Magic City Express.
Payton, Jeni, & Claire are ready for the train ride around the park.
Cole, Collin, & Jayden took a break from swimming for nachos, popcorn, candy, & pop.
Jeni & Nathan got a pool for the backyard. Fun!
Our garage sale was last Thurs. & Fri. Thurs. was extremely HOT, but it was a very successful sale! Dad found a hose reel & hose for his yard.
Mom shined up the piano.
Dad tried it out to make sure it was in tune. You really need to learn a few more chords, Dad!
Nathan left early with Claire & Payton to take them to preschool. Barbies tagged along!
A few pictures of the sale.

Sherry took the morning off from work to man the check-out desk with Jeni. The silver cash box has been used several years for the sales we've had.
Cole, Jayden, & Kaydra (can't believe I don't have a pic of her), manned the hotdog & water booth. They earned spending money for their Mpls. trip to Twin's Game, & Valley Fair.
Mom helped with Claire, Payton, & Avery during the sale.
The piano sold to next door neighbor Chris. Nathan, Uncle Brian, & co-workers helped move it into her house. That's service!
The boys took a break from the sale for a dip in the pool.
Jeni & Grandma endured the hot sun. We kept moving the table into the shade.
We shut down the sale Fri. afternoon and headed for the lake. It was a rainy, WINDY week-end, but fun. Claire & lake neighbor Karsyn rode the swing in the rain with the help of a Dora umbrella1
Nathan took Claire & Taja on a walk.
Claire wanted to sort her skittles into color rows and count. We're sure she's the star student in her preschool class!
All that counting makes a girl tired! Taja loves to snuggle up to Claire when she's sleeping.
Good friend Lynn took in the Annual Metigoshe Quilt Auction, and as usual came home with a beautiful quilt.
Back at home, Jayden helped Grandma, (me) water flowers & the garden. Thanks, Jayden!

His reward - A box of Dilly Bars. His favorite!

Janelle-
I LOVE your blogs!! Thanks so much for taking all the great pics and for writing the comments for them! I sure hope there will be a way some day to have these put into book form--I will definitely take advantage of that. -Lana
