It's Hostfest Time!

Hostfest is coming, and that means filling the freezer with hotdishes & bars, in anticipation of Hostfest guests. Dad enticed us over with a yummy steak dinner!
Our hands were busy mixing and chopping!

Mom completes a Hostfest favorite, broccoli, chicken, & rice hotdish.
Sherry's specialty is lasagna!
I'm peeling caramels for oatmeal caramel bars. We also made sloppy joes, apple crisp, pumpkin bars, and...
banana bread. It was a very productive night, if I must say so myself! Ha.
Mom, Sherry, & I took the first dinner out of the freezer for company.

Mom's cousins are so much fun!
Saturday afternoon Mom, Sherry, Jeni, Claire, and I attended the Hostfest. First stop was the Christ Lutheran Klub booth.
The Western Plains Children's choir entertained us,
as did the Korsliens.
Nathan arrived later, after dropping Cole off at a birthday party.
We LOVED Williams & Ree, (as usual), so just couldn't resist this photo op. Looks like we all had enough klub!!
We ran into the Korsliens (friends of Jeni & Nathan), as they were heading over to the dance they were performing at later that night. Good show guys!
