Chad arrived by train Saturday morning from Mpls. We had intended to meet in Fargo for the week-end, but after the ice and snow we had a week ago, decided to have Chad come here. Mpls. had almost a foot of snow also, so Chad was fine with the train trip.

The Olthoffs arrived just in time for a poker game,

and a little PS3 fun.

Jerry made his tortilla cheese soup with sloppy joes.

I have noticed my pictures have been VERY blurry. I guess that means it's time for a new camera. Santa, are you listening?

Tiff, Jason, and Jayden arrived from Cavalier to see Chad. He hasn't been home since July. Tiff & Jeni posed for me in front of the Christmas tree, just like old times. I'm making a slideshow of old Christmas pictures, and have been on "Memory Lane" for a few weeks!

Mother/Daughter Time

Chad gives a "thumbs up" for special times with Grandma & Grandpa, and

with sister Tiff. Those times spent fighting as kids are long-forgotten!

After visiting Nathan's uncle Brian, the boys made a stop downtown at "Grand Slam Sportscards & Collectibles." The short stop ended up being an hour stop! The store's owner enjoyed their sport's knowledge and careful shopping.

Happy customers!

This is Claire's favorite puzzle at our house. She puts it together in a few minutes. I'm trying to find her some for Christmas.

Saturday night we all went out to the new Badlands Restaurant. We had a great time!

Claire says, "Aren't you a little too picture crazy?"

Good conversation!

Good times!

Good food!

Mom made her wonderful roast pork, mashed potatoes & gravy, creamed peas, brocolli salad, and apple crisp dinner for us Sunday.

Chad gives a "thumbs up" for one of his favorite dinners!

Jerry's ready for the Vikings game at noon.

Whipped cream or ice cream on the apple crisp?

Jayden says, "I'll have whipped cream on top, and ice cream on the side!"

The shoes were left by the door.

Sherry just had to be different. She chose caramel topping for her apple crisp!

Hangin out downstairs at Grandma's

Cole always looks forward to his favorite-ice cream with chocolate!

Mmmm, doesn't get any better than this!

Later that afternoon, Sherry just had to try out a recipe she got from a co-worker for "Buck-eyes." They're peanut butter, powdered sugar, dipped in chocolate.

Mom had to look up "Buck-eyes" in the dictionary.

They look like "Buck-eyes" to me! (whatever they are!) We sent about 100 pounds of cookies home with Chad. His train was suppose to leave at 9:30, but was postponed to 10:30 Sunday night. We dropped him off as the train arrived and left. Tonight (Monday) he called and said he had just arrived in Mpls. at 10:00 pm! They were stuck on the train in Minot until 7 am with frozen brakes. They didn't let them off, because they thought they could fix them in a short time. He was supposed to work yesterday after they arrived back. He had another manager come in for him, so now has to work on his day off Tues. What a way to spend your day off!!!
