Christmas Baking

Last Saturday we woke up to this beautiful scene outside our front door...
perfect day for Christmas baking.
First we attended a wonderful baby shower for Brandi. Her little boy is due in January.
Then on to mom & dad's for some heavy duty baking! After a trip to the grocery store, this was the scene.
Mom has all of her Christmas recipes bookmarked.
One of our favorites is nut goodie bars.
Sherry displays a pan and a spot on her sweatshirt of fudge!
Next came the salted nut rolls.
Meanwhile, mom mixed up a batch of peanut blossoms,
thumbprint cookies, and Mexican wedding cakes.
Dad and Sherry unwrapped candy kisses for the peanut blossoms.
Then came the cut-outs, one of the kids' favorites.
Looking good, Sherry!
Mom is pleased with her cookies!
Frosting fun!
Clean-up help was gladly accepted. Thanks, Dad!
Just about done!
We've wrapped up the cookie-baking for another year! Dieting with again be a New Year's Resolution, I'm sure!
