Christmas vacation is a time to check out new games,

watch a little football, go to a few movies ( Alvin and the Chipmunks, & Avatar)

a game of monopoly with Great-Grandma,

a trip to Best Buy to spend Christmas money on new PSP's,

and of course, a stop at Space Aliens for a few games,

and some good eating!

Mozzarella sticks & fries

Decisions to make on prizes

Good times with Mom & Dad before they leave for Mesa the next morning

Mom & Dad are hoping for good travel on their 3 day trip. (They ended up with some icy roads & blizzard-like conditions, but for the most part, the trip went well!)

A last look at their house before sunny AZ

Dad had some business to take care of before the trip. They discovered they should have called for cable hook-up several days before their arrival, as they'll have almost a week without cable. I may have to DVR CNN for them!

Cole & Jayden had a few days of fun on the Bel Air hill.

After sledding, the boys decided they wanted to drive through Oak Park's Light Show, as we hadn't done this yet. First we went through Burger King for a frosty drink. (I would have preferred the hot chocolate we usually drink!)

The boys are happy with Madden 10 as their only game for their new PSP.

The boys enjoyed a night at our house with some pool. Pool mentor Jerry thinks the boys have REALLY improved their game!

Later we watched Santa Buddies, but as you can see, they crashed before it was half over. They've had quite a few late nights!

New Year's Eve was held at the Andersons. Nathan lit the fire. Jeni & I dug around the campfire, as Nathan's back has really been horrible this vacation. A couple trips to the chiropractor and some drugs have helped.

Some outdoor fun in very cold conditions!

Jeni & Sherry just happened to dress in almost matching clothes. Cute!

Nathan fired up the grill for brats.

The decorating was complete in the garage.

The patio heater (Thanks Richard) kept the garage toasty warm all night!

Jen helps set up the bar.

Wade & Jen wish they were in Hawaii! (as we all do!)

Drew sauces up the meatballs.

Drew & Paul must have coordinated their clothes also!

Jeremy & Brandi joined us for a few hours. They couldn't stay too late, as their little boy is expected to arrive in two weeks.

Sherry wanted to have her picture taken with her two dates. Ha

Jeremy decided to get in on the action too!

There were way too many food choices!

Jason & Tiff joined us a few hours later. They had to work, and drove from Cavalier. They wondered why nobody else wore their Hawaiian shirts. Good question!

Drew mixed up some delicious tropical drinks.

The campfire warmed us up.

Cole, Payton, & Avery tried out the horns!

Cale had to test his out also!

Fallon, Ciera, & Kaydra's tested out well!

Avery got a little "carried away" with hers!

Poker and Mad Gab were on the agenda for the night.

Jeremy's trying to win a little extra for diapers. (Really, they're pretty well prepared for his arrival!)

The boys had WAY too much Mountain Dew!

12:00 - Happy New Year!

Champagne toasts

Happy New Year, Tiff, Jayden, and Jason!

Sorry for those that didn't quite make the group picture. I shouldn't have given the camera to Jerry!

Happy New Year to all! Have a happy & healthy 2010!

We wish you the same, Taja!

New Year's Day we ate leftovers, and played the dice game "Left, Right, & Center."

It really was fun!

Payton & Claire just aren't ready to give up Christmas. They entertained us with "Santa Claus is Coming to Town."

Then they had to watch themselves on the video camera. Their dancing was too cute!

Later that night, these two VERY serious chess players played 4 games. Guess who won 3 out of the 4 games? (Yes, it was Jason.)

Saturday night we all went out to the Badlands Grill. Tiff, Jason, & Jayden will be heading home Sunday morning.

Nathan will be heading to Minneapolis in the morning for a week of training.

Jason helps Jayden cut up his "6 oz. sirloin." (His new favorite)

Lindsay joined us for a few minutes before work.

Claire changed into her Christmas dress when we arrived home, and brought out Taja's new dress also. It was a little snug, as Taja has enjoyed a few too many Christmas treats. I can relate!! I hope everyone had as great and memorable holiday season as we did!
