We drove up to the lake Saturday morning, and almost drove back, as the temp. was only 29 degrees. Jerry put the pump in the well, turned the furnace on in the cabin, and turned the water on. We had a little trouble with ice in the pump, so needed to take it out, and thaw out in the cabin.

The snow level is actually down a few inches from last week-end, although there is still quite a bit. We did shovel off the decks, as we have a hard time waiting for the sun to melt it off!

Scott, Cindy, & Josie decided to drive up for the night, so Jerry cut up some potatoes, carrots, & onions, and grilled steaks.

The guests arrived ready for some pre-season lake fun!

There was a full moon! (Well almost!)

We decided it was a little chilly for a campfire, but posed in front of the fire pit.

Sunday morning brunch was sausage, pancakes, and scrambled eggs. Nice to put the grill to use again! It was a gorgeous morning, with temps expected to reach 50's today!

Josie took advantage of the warm temps to jump on the tramp.

Summer can't come too soon!

A walk to Canada and back, with a little stop-off tour of Brunner's townhouse.

Every hour a little more water appeared on the surface of the lake! Yay!

The trees are beginning to bud out!

Jerry & Scott diverted water away from our neighbor's cabin, and downstream to the lake.

Josie is excited to see a little beach appear.

Look at the lake a few hours later!

Our home away from home!

By the time we left, we were no longer able to walk on top of the snow, and began sinking a little.

Cindy is sure to have a cold, wet trip back to Minot! We'd all have to agree it was well worth getting a little wet!

Campfire fun will have to wait til next time!

A sure sign of spring! We must have seen thousands of geese this afternoon.
