Easter Week-end

I found I omitted a few pics, so am adding them at the beginning of my Easter blog. Anyway, Cole shows off his egg-dying skills.
Jayden displays his completed eggs. Nice work!

Claire throroughly enjoyed this traditional Easter task!
Jerry & I stayed at the cabin Thursday night, and woke up to snow Fri. morning when we were planning to go to Cavalier for Easter.
Thursday afternoon I raked this side of the cabin lawn, and Friday morning it was covered with snow. We had the most harrowing driving experience on the way to Cavalier. Heavy, wet slush, and blizzard-like conditions almost took us to the ditch twice!
Upon arrival, Tiff decided to whip up some Bahama Mamas to calm our nerves.
Cavalier had only rain, so Cole & Jayden played some basketball.
Then warmed up afterwards in the jacuzzi.
I think Claire enjoyed the jacuzzi experience!
Jayden wanted to pose for a picture with his cash. Hope you're saving some of that for college!
I'm not sure who's showing who something on the computer!
Sherry & I decided to get a jump start on the Egg Hunt preparations.
Jerry looks through the photo album with Tiff & Jason's D.C trip pics.
Tiff got Jerry a little gift from D.C.
Intense!
Saturday Jayden had a wrestling meet in Walhalla.
Looking good at his last meet of the season.
Proud parents!
Proud cousin supporter!
Proud Grandparents!
On the way home the boys were planning the rest of the day.
Sherry was back at the house whipping up some angel food cake, ham, cheesy potatoes, meatballs, baked beans, coleslaw, and buns for supper. Whew
Claire hanging out.
Chad arrived late Friday night from Minneapolis. He drove through heavy rain showers.
Jeni & Tiff are glad to see Chad.
Saturday afternoon was so beautiful, I just couldn't resist picking up a rake.
The boys couldn't resist shooting a few hoops.
Warm sun and cool drinks make for a perfect afternoon.
Claire kind of liked this mode of transportion to cruise the yard!
Jason purchased a new Dethatcher (think that's what it's called), for his lawn tractor.
The Egg Hunt begins!

Since Kaydra wasn't here, Chad volunteered to gather her eggs. What a sport!
The boys had to make sure Claire found all 20 pink eggs.
Nice work kids!
Baseball season is right around the corner!

April showers require new wiper blades!
Chad enjoyed a little R & R at the Schmelzes.
Here's where the egg coloring pics belonged!
Easter dinner!

Chef Sherry gets the honor of being first in line. Way to go! Jason & Tiff provided us with a spaghetti meal, sloppy joes & tortilla cheese soup, egg bake, and crab salad. We ate really, really well!
The Laptop ladies!
Claire got in a little basketball action too.
Lightning action!
Easter gifts brought smiles!

The campfire was the highlight of the night!
Taja never misses one.
Taj was all decked out for Easter!
The photo shoots began!

Claire had an unfortunate fall on the driveway prior to this pic.

One last poker game and Chad was on his way. We already miss you Chad!
Jayden had fallen asleep the night before when the Poker game was played, so Chad decided to stay a little longer to play with Jayden.
Jayden loves his Uncle Chad!
Sunday afternoon, we decided to dig out a few shrubs to make way for the hot tub.
Jason was glad to free up some space in his garage.
It was a little tricky moving the thing.
Getting closer!
Jayden played a little catch with friend Dawson Monday.
Jason tried out the new machine. Worked well!
Good friends
Jayden had hands off for a brief second!

The hot tub is in position with a new coat of stain, awaiting some landscaping. Jason will quickly take care of that.
No, Jayden does not have a 4-wheeler, but his friend does. Jayden is NOT allowed to ride or drive it, but posed for a picture. We left shortly after for Minot. What a wonderful Easter!
