Summer at the Lake!

We just couldn't pass up one more week-end at the lake, when the weather was SO beautiful! The flowers are looking a little ragged, but I just had to take a few pics before they freeze!

The boys have Saturday football games, so we had a really quiet week-end, but really missed all the activity! Scott & Cindy Bexell, along with daughter Josie, came up with us. Josie is really a bookworm, and after jumping on the tramp, settled in with a good read!
The pics are a little out of order, but here the guys are covering the pontoon, as it will be a few weeks before we're back. The cover has been off all summer!
And...the jet ski is out of the water, headed for storage in Bottineau!
Cindy & Josie played a little Scrabble. I'm not sure who won, but I know there was a little disagreement about a few words, and no dictionary available!
Potatoes, carrots, onions, and plenty of seasoning to go along with burgers and shrimp. Looks yummy, but a little fire started later in the drip pan of the grill, and we had blackened spuds!
We stopped for pics after eating at "The A-Frame," (formerly "The Oakes")

Jerry had to show Scott some of the old pics of Metigoshe in earlier years.

I accompanied Josie on a "Turtle hunting" expedition. We should have had the boys here, as we didn't spot ONE turtle!
Josie was excited to be in Canada, so had to take pics of Canadian Geese, of course.
The Canadian flag was also a must to photograph for her!
Note the flag in the background.
What a nice, sunny day for a cruise!

The canopy always has to come down before our trip through the narrows into Canada.
Friday night was so gorgeous with the lake absolutely still, and the stars shining so brightly, we just had to take a late-night cruise.
Josie shows off her not-yet completed sand castle!
The family, minus college student Steph.
We had to watch the Vikings play Sunday before leaving for home. Jerry is getting primed for the Vikings-Packers game in a couple of weeks. He's got his tickets under lock and key!!
Hostfest time is near, so I've been helping my parents get their home ready for visitors. Carpets needed to be cleaned,
and cupboards organized!
While I was inside working, Dad was outside washing my car! Thanks Dad!
Bel Air Staff provided a few meals for our wonderful counselor Tara, after the birth of Owen Anders. Librarian Kari & I brought a meal over, and got to hold the precious bundle!

Mom is enjoying her time at home!
Owen was dressed for the Viking's game Sunday!
