Week-end in Cavalier

We arrived in Cavalier Fri. night, and of course Jayden was ready for a little football in the dark!
Jayden's hair was wet from the helmet, and with two newly-lost teeth, Tiff said he looked like a "Redneck!" I tend to agree!
Looks like Tiff has a good hand in Poker!
We were on the road to Walhalla at 7:45 Saturday morning. Jayden needs a little help with his extra tight helmet.
The 4th & 5th graders watch while the 6th grade teams play. Jayden is number 36. He is also the only one with white socks, so is easy to spot. I like that! Each team plays two games, so there's a total of four games every Saturday.
Jayden is in the front line on the left in black. (with white socks).
Love this pic. Jayden is in the middle with his arms up in celebration of his team's touchdown. They are still undefeated.
Grandma Lana drove up from Cooperstown for Jayden's game.
Family Pic
Another set of proud Grandparents!
Walhalla is such a beautiful town, so we decided to drive up to Frostfire Ski Resort. Right behind the resort is the Ampitheatre. My cousin performed here, so it really was my idea to drive up.
Jayden is looking forward to snow when he can return for winter sports.
The Lodge
When we returned to Cavalier, we made our traditional stop at Thompson's Cafe. The 21 piece shrimp is Jayden's favorite!
The downtown merchants always decorate for Fall. Jayden said he'd only pose for one picture!
The riding mower needed a little tune-up before being put away for the winter.
If the Dairy Industry slows down even more, Jerry may be trying out for the Vikings. Heard they are taking OTA players this year.

I'm going to try to put together a "Family Favorites" Cookbook, so have been taking a few too many food pics! Jason & Tiff made quite a few jars of Salsa a few days ago. It was really good!!
Jason is also famous for his pulled pork sandwiches, which we had with his...
cut-up potatoes. He never has a flop with these, unlike Jerry!
Yum!
Jayden thinks he needs a few more Steelers memorablilia for his Steeler-themed bedroom.
Trying out his new set of golf clubs.

Baseball Monopoly was a fun, but serious game!
Jayden tried to help Grandpa out with mortgaging his property!
Brunch was totally delicious!
Thanks, Jason!
Sunday afternoon, Tiff & I made refrigerator pickles. Can't wait til they're ready!
Jayden set up a new display on his entertainment center.
and then we all settled in to watch the Vikings.
Jason & Jayden are really waiting to watch their Steeler's game after the Vikings play. Sorry about the outcome of that game!
But, Jerry was happy to watch his...
new hero help his Vikings win!!!
