My pictures are a little out of order, as I had pics on two cards. At least that sounds like a good excuse! We gathered at Jeni & Nathan's for an after-Thanksgiving lasagna meal Saturday night. Mark left soon after on the train for Mpls., and Rich took the Sunday afternoon flight to Boise. Taj snuggles under a Christmas blanket with thoughts of Christmas treats. His stocking was hung on the tree Saturday.

Paul & Drew came later to join in on the fun!

It was hard to say good-bye to Rich, as he won't be back until summer. He's not too anxious to get back either, as he has to design his 6 x 8 ft. cubicle Monday morning at HP!

Nathan took requests for music videos, and we watched some fun YouTube clips also.

Sherry is ready to count down the days til Christmas on Claire's Santa, given to her by Great-Grandma.

Tiff & Jason were able to spend 4 days here, along with a day trip to Lignite Saturday.

Lindsey even stopped over for a few hours. Good to see her!

Claire loves her new Barbie she received for being a "good girl" at the Otis & James photo session earlier in the day.

Mark will be heading back soon to his new assignment with the government involving some travel, auditing Department of Defense contracts. Hope you get some sleep on the train!

"Bet you can't guess what I have in my cup!" "Yup, it's chocolate milk, and I made it myself," says Claire.

"Why is it that whenever company comes for supper, I get sent out to the deck?"

Jeni's favorite seat in the house!

Kaydra and good friend Sydney had a great time today.

Dad enjoys the good food! He and Mark have worked off their big meals this week with golf at Wildwood Golf Course. Can you believe it?

Friday night was the Boise State/Nevada game. Richard was primed!

Sporting the Boise State sweatshirts to celebrate the win! Fiesta Bowl, here we come!

A little Poker fun.

Some Hacienda fine dining

This was just too cute! Claire followed Jeni through the mall carrying "Nanni", and sucking her thumb on Black Friday. We were close behind.

Another book-signing for our favorite author, Nathan! This was at Gideon's Trumpet at the mall. Claire, one of "A Dose of God"s featured children is one of daddy's biggest fans! The calendar's are beautiful, also!

Jeni is another huge supporter!

Tiff & Jason were there to give congrats, and wish good luck.

Book Signing at Gideon's Trumpet - November 27th, 2009

Then off to do a little shopping

You make us all proud, Nathan!

Mom Lana has always been a huge supporter! Matt, Tara, and family were here earlier, but I missed them. Was stuck in a line at Penney's!

Sherry picked up a few books & calendars for family.

Dad & Mark check out cars at the mall. Dad would like to keep a car in Mesa, and fly back and forth. You'll be enjoying the new home and warm weather in a few short weeks. We're glad you'll be here for Christmas!

Some more pics!

Cole & Claire check out the Santa Display, minus Santa.

The night before Thanksgiving, Sherry comes over to help prepare some of the foods for the big dinner. Mom takes care of the apple and pumpkin pies, lefse, and cranberry sauce. Sammy's Pizza is always a family favorite, so Rich brought home an all beef, and a Bert's Best. Yummy!

Sherry is the "Meatball Queen!" I made the stuffing and scalloped corn. The 22 pound turkey, and two turkey breasts (provided by mom & dad) went in the oven early Thanksgiving Day. Coleslaw, veggie tray, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberries, and lefse rounded out the meal. Chex mix and fudge have become traditional treats for this holiday also.

Togetherness with the kids is what Thanksgiving is all about!

The lefse which mom always helps make at Christ Lutheran. Dad has also spent several years making club there. (This is what I mean about the pics being out of order!)

We did it again!

With some help from Mom!

We went around the table stating our thanks this Thanksgiving. I wish I would have had my video camera going! I'm thankful for my wonderful family! We missed Chad & Jenny, John & Jill, and Jayden this year. Chad's band "High on Stress" had a huge show at the famous First Avenue in Mpls. as one of the bands in the line-up at "The Replacement's Tribute show.

An artist in the making.

Cole could actually live on ice cream with chocolate!

I haven't heard of the new singer Justin Bieber, but Kaydra is a huge fan.

Beautiful!

The guys, Jason, Jerry, & Rich were the clean-up crew after every meal. That was much appreciated!

Sherry had a list of items she hoped to pick up on Black Friday.

Cole was dressed for the Packer's game.

Mom's birthday was Thanksgiving Day. We thought it was appropriate to have a birthday pumpkin pie.

She loved the set of snowmen mugs and plates.

Sherry and Cole shared the wishbone, and

well, the winner was Cole! Sorry, Sherry. Maybe you'll win the lottery next year!

Tiff & Jeni at a lot of laughs, as did we all, reading our family's past Christmas letters.

We have a section for each family, and we have cards and letters saved from 1976 to the present. What a treasure! It really tells our family's story.

The Christmas book. Our next project is going to be a Family recipe book with photos and recipes.

After hunting, Jerry and Richard made a delicious deer stew with prime cuts of the deer meat. There was a whole lot of chopping and slicing going on.

The end result was the most delicious stew! (Tied with Dad's!) Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving!
