School Begins & Lake Season Ends

My classroom was ready, and my new 18 students came eager to learn!
We left for the lake Friday after school. We will be here Labor Day week-end, but spotty after that, as football games begin for Cole & Jayden. A leftover balloon from last week-end's birthday party provided lots of fun!

Bocce Ball was the game of choice Saturday morning.

Sweatshirts were worn on the pontoon, but the weather was much nicer this week-end. Sherry snuggles up on the pontoon with Taja.
Jerry took us on the enjoyable cruise.
The gentle ride always puts sweet little Claire to sleep.
Jason & Kaydra are good pals!
Tiff & Jeni were prepared for the rather cool ride.
Text message alert! Jeni's always quick to respond. Never leave home without your cell phone!
Tiff also loves Taj.
Lynn arrived on Saturday for a camp staff wedding.
Nathan made these yummy nachos for late-night snacking!
While turtle-hunting, Cole lost both of his Keen sandles in the sand/mud! Nathan went out with a rake and after several attempts at pulling up seaweed, managed to find those expensive shoes! I don't think he'll be wearing them in the lake again!
Here's the turtle, and according to the boys, it was worth it!
Kaydra came up with a great idea - pulling the tube behind the paddleboat. I think I need to try that!

Now it's Nathan's turn...
to pull the three kids. They needed their sunflower seeds thrown to them first!
Jason watches in awe as Nathan takes off. Maybe he should be watching as he docks that thing!
Later, the kids wanted to tube behind the pontoon. We were directed to take them through the weeds!
The antics are just beginning!
Claire shows off her "Oreo Face" on the pontoon!
Kaydra wanted to be careful not to get too much sun on her face while soaking up the warm Sunday sun! We really appreciated the nice weather this week-end!
