Cavalier Road Trip

We made the trip to Cavalier to put up paneling in the sauna room, and a bonus was that Jayden's first wrestling match of the season was at Grand Forks Red River. The guys needed to get started on the paneling, so us girls, Tiff, Sherry, & I headed to GF with a video camera to play the matches back for the guys. Here Jayden heads in for a weigh-in.
After weighing in, we had an hour and a half to get breakfast. Sherry & I agreed wrestling would probably be a good sport for us to lose weight, as having to wear your weight on your hand would be humiliating!
He laced up his shoes,
did some warm-ups,
and the matches began!

Jayden got a 4th Place trophy. This is only his second season, and many his age are beginning their fifth.
Mom was proud, as well as...
Grandma!
When asked where he'd like to have lunch, he promptly suggested...
"Texas Roadhouse" to Sherry's delight!
This was Sherry's first trip to the Roadhouse, so Jayden said she had to try the Cheesy Fries for an appetizer.
After the cheesy fries and sweet buns, Jayden wasn't too sure he had room for his regular steak and mashed potatoes!
A little game time, and we were off to Kohls, Gortmann's & Target before making a sidetrip to...
Park River! I attended grades 1-6 here, and this was the house we built, minus the garage and front deck.
This is where dad worked as a Soil Conservationist. The building stands vacant...
as does the old Elementary School. Many fond memories were made here!
This was the house we rented while the house was being built.
This was our church home.

Every night our family would drive into town with a quarter to get five nickel cones. Can you believe it? Thanks Tiff for taking this detour for Sherry & I. I know you really enjoyed it! Ha
When we returned, Jason was preparing caramel rolls for morning, had tortilla cheese soup, sloppy joes, and hamburger cheese dip cooking! What? Is that another bouquet of flowers?
The next morning we had caramel rolls with our coffee.
Very yummy!
Mom called from Arizona, and asked when we're coming to visit. Sherry decided to check on Allegiant Air Fares, for my Spring Break days in March, but couldn't find anything decent. Sherry & I would like to make the trip, but there aren't many flights out of Bismarck.
Jayden had a couple friends spend the night. After a late night, they seem to have plenty of energy the next morning!
I should have played a little Wii Baseball after eating Jason's caramel rolls!
I made a few new slideshows, so we're reliving Thanksgiving and Christmas here. Where's Jason?
The sauna room now has a television,
and some new paneling.
Tiff snuggles up for some Facebook Time with her new Snuggie,
while Jason takes the boys to the rink!
Do you think the snow will be around til June this year?
Thanks for the wonderful week-end once again!
While Jayden was in GF for wrestling, Cole was in Devil's Lake for a BB tournament Saturday. His team took first place! Way to go, Cole!
Jill sent us a pic on her phone of a cherry tree in full blossom, so we decided to send her this pic of us in only vests on the deck. Oh well, it's the best we could do!
Cole & Kaydra just got texting installed! They're all smiles!
