The Cavalier Crew

We kept watching the road reports all day Friday, hoping they would improve for Tiff & Jason's trip to Minot. They had to turn around a couple week's ago when Chad was home, because of icy conditions. Well, they decided to try it, despite lots of yellow on the map. Cole & Nathan dug out a fort for Jayden & Cole to enjoy!
They arrived safe and sound! Jayden & Cole check out "Super Farkle."
Nathan enjoys having his own laptop!
Lindsay enjoys having her very own Dora blanket!
Whenever Tiff is home, she has to dig out Jerry's Surge cow. Lindsay joins in on the fun! We always reminisce about the time the teenagers stole the huge cow from the Surge store's roof, and drove down Broadway with the cow in the back of a pick-up!
It wouldn't be a "Jayden week-end home" without lunch at Planet Pizza.
We were a small crew at lunch, as Jason & Tiff were at the Holiday Inn watching some of Jason's family & friends in the Dart tournament. Jerry was there playing in the Pool tournament, so they also took in a couple of his games until his team lost out. Sherry, Jeni, Nathan, & I managed to handle this pizza by ourselves though!
Claire was so cute. Usually she plays the games with Nathan, but I asked if she'd like to come play with me, and she agreed! She didn't tell me which games she wanted to play, but would stop in front of one, until I asked if this was her choice. She put her token in, pushed the start key, and played away!
She was so proud of all the tickets she won! This was only part of them.
Jayden never tires of the games,
or the prizes!
Sherry & Claire ran into a little trouble cashing out the tickets, so had to go to another machine.
Claire had some tough choices to make. You'll see later what one choice was.
After lunch, we were on to the Y to watch Cole's team play.
Nathan captured some special moments,
and Claire enjoyed her "Ring Pop" prize! Who would've guessed!
Jayden was excited to watch one of Cole's games. Jayden's BB season was earlier.

After the game, I promised the boys a trip to the Card Shop downtown. This is NO short visit! We were there an hour and 45 minutes!!
The owner is always so patient and kind to these boys, I just had to take her picture with them.
We arrived home to find Sherry & Claire baking Valentine cookies. Sherry loves her new kitchen-aid mixer! Claire cut out cookies,
lifted them out of the pan,
and helped decorate. She stuck with her task til the very end!
Mmmm! It wouldn't be a holiday without Sherry's decorated cut-out cookies!
We got to Ruby Tuesdays a little early, hoping to shorten the wait a little.
We ended up with a 45 minute wait, but it was worth it! Nathan joined us a little later.
It's been awhile since the Sequence game has been out of the box. I see "Red" is ahead with one sequence! That would be me! (Although I didn't win this match)
Jayden and Cole stayed up late both nights. Jayden ended up sleeping in until 10:30. (The latest he's ever slept in! He's usually an early bird.) He was pleased to find that Sherry had made he and Cole's favorite breakfast - Biscuits and Gravy!
The kids decided to make Colt's posters for the Colt's/Saints game, before Jayden had to head back to Cavalier.
A little break for some "Taja Time!"
Go Colts! As you all know, Jayden's number 1 team is Steelers, and Cole's is Packers.
Ready to go home. They need to get home to prepare food for their Super Bowl party! Be safe on the roads!
Cole was called into KMOT that afternoon to do a reading for a TV commercial.
Looks like a natural to me!
Abby & Cole
Super Bowl time!
Super Bowl chocolate chip cookie
Notice Lindsay's green teeth from the frosting,
and Kristin's! Brandi must have passed on the cookie. Jeremy had to work today, so Brandi came with Baby Brayden.
Jerry & Lana cheer on the Colts! I loved Lana's horse pin she found from her younger days!
Is that a root beer float, Sherry?
Popcorn sharing!
Intense watching! I think we were a little tired out from the busy, but fun week-end!
Kristin has just 8 more weeks until her little bundle arrives. She looks like a natural mommy with Brayden!
Well, Cole...it didn't quite turn out the way you wanted, but I think we all agreed it was nice to see the Saints win a Super Bowl for the first time. Watching Drew Blees with his little boy was a real tear-jerker! Thanks, everyone for making the week-end wonderful!
