Week-end in Cavalier

Cole rode with Jerry and I to Cavalier, so he could get there a little earlier to see Jayden. Jerry had a quick repair to make at a dairy, so he gave Cole a little lesson on dairying.
Jerry installed this parlor a few years ago.
The pump was the problem, and a quick fix.

He had to show Cole "The Chiller!"

I'm not sure if he convinced Cole that this would be a good career for him, but he tried!
As soon as we arrived in Cavalier, Jayden and friend Dawson got Cole into a BB game.

Later that night the boys relaxed in the hot tub.

Love Claire's shirt! The rest of the gang arrived a little later.
Saturday morning Dawson, Cole, and Jayden rode to Grand Forks with Nathan for Cole's BB tourney. The rest were going the next day.
Claire and I played around 20 games that day!

I loved how she blew in her hands for "Good Luck!" It usually worked, as she won more games than me.
Claire "Clowning around!"
Jerry and Jason helped a neighbor bring in and hook up his new washer/dryer combo in his retirement Winnebago. We enjoyed brats mid-afternoon, after Jason's egg bake.
Us girls went shopping. Sherry helps Claire put together her new "Fairy Barbie." She also picked out a new shirt and a Barbie horn for her bike.
We spent lots of time outdoors Saturday, as temps were in the 50's! (The calm before the storm)

It was so nice we decided to shovel out around the fire pit so we could have a fire later.

Since we didn't have logs, I called around in search of some.
We found some!

More games!

Hot tubbing fun with Grandma!

Practicing swimming strokes
Sherry got the fire going!

The boys challenged the adults in an after dark BB game. Jason declined, as he wasn't feeling well this week-end. Hope he feels better, as he's planning on driving to Spokane Sunday for port meetings.

More hot tub fun!

Claire wore her new shirt and necklace to the games on Sunday. They headed out early Sun. morning.
We said our good-byes!
We had a super fun week-end! Thanks to Tiff and Jason for hosting. Word is that Jason booked a flight to Spokane, and is leaving Monday afternoon.
This winter storm was predicted, and the drive from Cavalier to Cando was treacherous! White-out conditions were scary!
At least the scenery was beautiful! (And the 11 inches of snow never arrived!)
