Christmas 2011

Claire models her new Christmas dress she picked out herself at her new favorite store - Herbergers!
It shouts out "Merry Christmas!"
Claire toned it down somewhat! :)
Claire prefers "Solo" pictures!
Claire and Audrey are dressed in their finest at Zion!
s Tiff, Jayden, & Buster arrived the Thurs. night before Christmas. Jason had to work Friday, so they drove up early to spend some time with the Andersons. Jeni woke up early Fri. morning with the flu that has been going through her daycare! :( The boys went to the Y to play some basketball.
Claire told me that she had never made a Gingerbread House, so we picked one out at Target.

Claire hung out at our place all day, and decided she wanted to sleep over also. Tiff needed a little help with gift wrapping, so Claire assisted!
That night we took a little light tour. The Olsons' display is always first on the list. (I need a little practice with my camera settings!)

Jerry and Jayden snuck in a game of poker.
All tuckered out!
Claire and Jayden are both "Puzzle Pros!"
Buster's always ready for a game of Tackle Football!
These two have become very fond of each other!
Jayden got to open an early Christmas gift before heading up to Lignite for Christmas Eve festivities. He got a new phone with a slide out keypad for texting.
Buster was left back! :( I think he's dreaming of turkey and meatballs which will be cooked up tonight!
Yep, cooking frenzy has begun for Christmas Day dinner. Turkey, meatballs, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, scalloped corn, sweet potatoes, baked beans, layered lettuce salad, lefse, jello, and pumpkin pie. We did forget the cranberry sauce though!
Christmas morning Jayden returned with a gun he received for Christmas! Hope Buster will be ready for pheasant hunting next year! Jayden will have to take Hunter Safety this winter.
Tiff received this cute wall art from Jason's parents.
Dinner is served!
Gifts are sorted out!
Dinner in the living room for the kids! Buster likes that!
Claire tells Buster that Santa is watching!
Jeni feels much better today! Tiff's happy!
Guess I forgot the fine china this Christmas too! Oh well, it's what's on the plate that really counts, right? :)

Claire and Jason coordinated their shirts today. Claire wanted her pic taken with the "Red Solo Cups!"
A decision was reached on the gift-opening order!
Claire decided she wanted to go last!
Three beauties!

The smells brought Buster to the kitchen!
The boys decided to open one of Great-Grandparents' gifts together, as they looked like the same thing. Sure enough - rubber band guns - which they had requested!

Buster's tummy is full of turkey and meatballs. Sweet dreams!

A new iPad!
Lots of cash was received this Christmas!

Claire made a special calendar in Kindergarten for her parents!

All of us received Chad's bands new CD - "High on Sress!"
What! No gifts for Sherry? (She had opened her Keurig early!)
Oh, we found one!

Family gift - wonder what it is?
X-box Kinect!
Jason got Jerry 150 of these cute koosies!

Rumor was that Dave (our resident cabin ghost) spent the fall with our lake neighbors the Melins and Lautenschlagers. He tagged along with them to Las Vegas, and evidently met someone there! Jerry was surprised to find them giftwrapped and under the tree!
Dena and Dave fell in love and married in Vegas!

Jason got a pet hair remover for Buster.

Everyone also got a family calendar.
Claire helped Buster open his gift!
He loved his Christmas toys!
Tiff got a Keurig!
Claire opened several fun gifts!

We all got Keurigs! :)
Beautiful Christmas sunset!

Kaydra teaches Claire to play "Jingle Bells."
The doorbell rang! Claire peeks out to see who's there!
Buster barked and sniffed!
I can't believe it's Santa!

Buster wants to know what Santa brought him!
A bone!

Cream for Claire!

and some cash!
Later Claire commented that "He wasn't the real Santa!" When asked how she knew, she replied, "Santa had stocking feet and he carried a black GARBAGE bag!"

Wind-down time with a game of Chess.
It was a great Christmas! (Although the flu bug has now hit Lana and the Sundahls!) :(
