Oct. 1, 2011

When Hostfest rolls around, Mom and Dad's home is a whirlwind of activity with wonderful relatives visiting! Orion, Kat, Nita, Tiffany, Kevin, and Bev enjoy the ham, meatballs, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, and apple crisp dinner.

Claire always tries to run from the camera, but she wasn't quite fast enough this time! :)
Sherry, Cole, and Linda enjoyed catching up.
Jeni plans an Anderson Deck Party for Saturday night with the relatives.
The crew!
Cousins Beverly and Mom get ready to go see Williams and Ree one last time!
Friday night we headed to Metigoshe, as the week-end forecast was once again a beautiful one! Sherry spotted this hornet's nest, since the leaves have dropped! :( It was one of the biggest we've seen!
Right above where the kids often play!
We did spray, and several hornets were not happy campers this week-end!
Sherry swept a few more leaves off the deck.
Soon the beautiful fall trees will be bare, as winter sets in! :(
On the way back from dinner at the A-Frame, deer were grazing in the field.
Canadian geese were also feeding.
Upon returning, we discovered our neighbors had driven up for the week-end! Karsyn had a pocketful of dollars she had just won in a family poker game!
Pam is my former first grade student from Bowbells. (My first teaching job!) She's just as cute as I remember her!
Pam's daughter Maddie and niece Karsyn were having a great time, but missing Claire!
Karsyn entertained us with her guitar playing around the campfire. Labor Day week-end she had entertained the crowd at the Black-eyed Peas with her dancing. They put on a benefit show for Minot.
It was a beautiful nigtht for a campfire!
Later, we were entertained by "Meatloaf" on the big screen! Lots of great karoke entertainment without the mic!
We had a short, but great week-end with our lake neighbors! Until next summer...
