A week ago Friday we drove to Mpls. for one of Chad's shows. We hadn't been able to go to one all summer! Chad had to show us his recent "investment" for the future! This rarely is taken out of its case.

High on Stress is backing Slim Dunlap of "Replacement's" fame, so Chad needed to rehearse a little before the show.

On the way to the Turf Club in St. Paul.

The show was great! Slim is second from left, next to Chad.

The "Tommy Keene" band was touring in Minnesota.

Chad and Jenny have three well-cared for cats. Gizmo was the only one who posed for me!

Jenny had a Saturday morning work meeting, so Chad took us to Panera's for lunch. Great place!

After a little shopping, we helped with a little fall work in their enormous yard!

Jenny arrived home with the most yummy rolls!

Cutest dancing cat that plugs into the ipod.

Chad likes to tease Gizmo!

Chad had just painted their bathroom and put in new light fixtures. Nice job, Chad! Your dad should take a few lessons!

I stained the deck floor Saturday afternoon. (just have to help with a few things when we come so seldom!) Sunday morning when we left, it was raining! :(

We got an early start Sunday. We had a short, but fun week-end!

Hostfest is fast approaching, so Sherry and I spent a few nights over at Mom and Dad's last week cleaning carpets, cooking, and baking. Dad treated us to steaks on the grill! Yum!

The mixers were getting a workout!

The rolling pin got a real workout!

Meatballs, sloppy joes, apple crisp, pumpkin bars, apple bars, and apple muffins!

Friday night we drove up to the lake, and Saturday morning we drove to Cavalier for another one of Jayden's games. It was a beautiful day for football!

Game won! (Oh Jayden, posing isn't that awful, is it?)

Proud grandparents!

We ran to Tiff and Jason's between the games, since they're right across the street from the stadium. Buster has grown in the two weeks since we last saw him!

Fetch is a favorite game, but he'd rather keep the stick to chew, than bring it back!

Second game on!

Jayden plays Defensive Lineman.

Jason and Tiff worked concessions after their second game. I'm sure they loved that I brought my camera in there! (Not!)

Buster's kennel

I think Jayden found this huge bone somewhere, but not sure where!

Buster does NOT love being held!

Jayden takes good care of his dog!

We drove back to the lake after the game, as Jerry needed to finish putting carpet on the dock that he spent the week rebuilding.

Beautiful fall day at the lake!

Cousins Olsons and Mossers stopped over Sat. night. Jerry's Uncle Marvin and Aunt Violet accompanied them also. Was good to see them again!

The cabin is officially ready to close up! :( (We are keeping it heated, just in case we have another beautiful week-end like this one! (Before the predicted 200 in. of snow for the upcoming winter!)

Hopefully we'll be able to squeeze one more week-end in, but with Mom's 80th BD party coming up Oct. 15, it may not happen! I've been busy scanning slides, going through 80 years of pictures, so better get back to work! :)
