I got to spend a few days in Cavalier doing "Granny Day Care!" They had just arrived home from their Wisconsin Dell/ Minneapolis vacation. Jayden & Jason are intent on winning this BB game!

Testing out the new bike

Football practice began today.

Training on a hot day is grueling!

I drove Jayden up to the Pembina Port. He had an interview for a passport. This is only part of the port! It's huge! I had no idea!

Part of his gear was passed out the second practice.

Football practice brings on a huge appetite!

Jayden's making his way through his birthday 2010 card set!

Jayden found this toad in the yard.

He made a little environment for it.

Helmets needed to be sanitized!

The rest of the gear was passed out the next day! Lookin' good, Jayden!

Friday we headed up to the lake. Chad drove up from Mpls. for the week-end!

Family moments like this are few and far between, so we appreciate every minute!

Jeni happens to find a little "Wi fi" out on the deck!

A poker game is always a must!

Is Chad taking advantage of a little free advice from a "Poker Champ?"

"Now you gotta split that 50-50 with me, Chad!" says Cole.

A few more join in!

Jayden got Cole a few goodies from his Wisconsin and Mpls. trip. He got him a Cheesehead for the Packer"s games, and autographed balls from the Twin's game he attended!

Nice!

An autographed Carl Pavona baseball he got at the Mall of America!

A Danny Valencia autographed ball!

Nathan's a "Cheesehead" also!

Claire borrowed her friend Payton's Belle dress for the week-end at the lake!

Someday Jayden hopes to have a dog as nice as Taja!

Cruisin'

Nathan gets in the water to help Cole wakeboard.

Jayden & Jason spot.

Cole got up, but I wasn't quick enough with the camera! :( Now it's Jayden's turn!

Come on Jayden! You can do it!

Uh huh!

Determination pays off!!

Who's next?

Claire? Maybe next summer!

Jayden's pleased with his efforts!

Cole is super impressed with his Dad's effort!

So are Chad and Taj!

Wow!

It's football season!

Beautiful day for tubin'...

and pontooning!

The Belle dress didn't prevent Claire from doing her normal "lake" activities!

How's the game going boys?

We all took off on the pontoon, and Taj comes running down to the dock with that "Hey guys, did you forget someone?" look. We just had to come back for her!

Mom and Dad drove up on Saturday to see Chad. (and all of the rest of the family)

Lynn supplied us with 2 tons of corn this summer! She came up for a Camp Wedding, and brought some more. Don't get that beautiful dress dirty!

Thanks, Lynn! We really enjoyed that wonderful corn!

Cut-ups and hamburgers will go well with the corn.

The "Corn Husking" crew! Next time we'll dress a little better for this event!

Jason and Nathan take the boys out tubing.

I think you could say that Chad thoroughly enjoyed Super Mable1

Right?

Social hour!

Grandma and Chad

Claire decided to shed the Belle dress when it got in her way during "Sandbox Cooking!"

Add some water, then some sand, stir it up, and...

you have a delicious "Chocolate Sandbox Cake!" Decorate with your favorite toppings.

Here's a piece just for you!

Jason's usually in charge of hamburgers. They're always done perfectly!

We give the meal a "10!"

This group seconds that!

We celebrated Jeni and Nathan's 10th Wedding Anniversary and Tiff and Jason's 4th Anniversary. Both couples were married Aug. 19th! How cool is that?

Happy Anniversary!

Four glorious years for Jason and Tiff!

Chad felt a little left out, so we let him in on the pictures. He and Jenny celebrated their 4th Anniversary July 14th.

The cake

Mom noticed Tiff's sweatshirt had a "Est. 1931" the year of her birth, so just had to have her picture taken with her.

Chad says his good-byes to Grandma and Grandpa!

Claire said, "This frosting is really good!"

Jayden and Chad watch the Steeler's game.

Nathan shows the kids a YouTube video.

Jason drags weeds out of the lake.

The cousins minus Jill! :( Miss you Jill! (and John)

I'm not sure whose idea it was to bring out Jill's old Ouji board! It was under the bed in the boathouse for years.

We didn't hear anything from Dave, our resident ghost! Must have been out that night!
