The week-end before our break, Jerry and I went to the lake so Jerry could try a little bow hunting. Just had to take a pic of this muscrat swimming toward our dock.

The deer were out in full force at sunset.

Jerry was prepared!

Just couldn't find one big enough, or so the story goes...

Beautiful night on the lake!

This was our last week-end at the lake for the summer.

Back at home, it's time to mix up the modeling goop for my annual troll-making project in my classroom.

A huge mess in the kitchen!

But so worth it, when I see what my third graders create!

Vacation time is here! Claire is resting up for a fun-filled day tomorrow!

Taja got her very own stuffed puppy!

Thursday I took Claire, Cole, and Jayden on a little shopping spree. Claire picked out some Belle silly bands.

The boys picked out cards.

"Can you see me?" asks Claire.

She also found a Barbie magnetic doll and clothes set. I think she'll be a fashion designer some day!

Ready for check out!

I got to babysit my favorite little girls for a few hours that afternoon. We started out decorating McDonald's Halloween pails.

We had a little Taylor Swift show!

The pails were homes for their special puppies.

The boys enjoyed the nice, warm October weather.

As did the girls!

Inside, Claire shared her Barbie magnetic set with the girls.

A little Madden action went on in Cole's room!

The Barbie car was loaded and ready to go!

Tramp action!

Sherry relaxes after a hard day at work. I can't believe how her German Ivy has grown this summer!

Mom and Dad came over for Italian spaghetti. Delicious!

That night we got to the Corn Maze a little too late, so we made a quick detour to Oak Park to check out the new equipment. Nice!

Next Stop - Burger King.

Friday was another great day! The boys played a little more football.

Jason joined in on the action!

Jayden, it wouldn't hurt to smile! Jason and Tiff are off to a 40th Birthday party for a friend in Portal.

We were off to Planet Pizza. Claire has to have the same number of tokens as the boys now.

Claire's so grown up now. She had to cut her own piece of pizza and place in on her plate.

Pizza lover!

The boys had to keep taking turns guarding this machine, as it kept spitting out winning tickets!

Claire helped the boys carry tickets back to the table.

The boys tried so hard to get Claire a prize with the Claw, but couldn't reach the one she wanted!

What a pile of tickets!

The boys split all the tickets three ways. How nice!

Great Grandma and Grandpa brought over some shopping money for the kids, so we had to make another shopping trip-this time to the Card Shop downtown. Claire was so patient while they shopped! She got to go to Walmart later, and purchased two Justin Bieber posters to decorate her new purple room! What a great day!
