Cole's last Cross Country Meet was his best ever! Friend Tate was their to witness his...

8th place finish! Congratulations Cole! (I have a few more pics at the end of this blog)

We decided to semi-close the cabin this week-end. Just a few feet away from the cabin was this beautiful deer. Of course Jerry had to comment, "Wish I had my bow!"

It was a quiet week-end, with just Sherry, Jerry and I, so we ate at the Birchwood Fri. night. Jerry got the ris he's been craving all summer!

Saturday morning Sherry took over lawn duties.

Jerry brought the jet-ski out of the water.

Next, out came the lift.

Pontoon was swept.

Flowers were pulled out of pots.

Hope it's not our last view of our favorite place in the world for the summer, but it may well be!

We enjoyed a few beautiful pontoon rides. Temps were 60's Saturday, and warmer on Sunday. After the 50's we've been experiencing lately, it felt REALLY nice!

Leaves are beginning to turn.

Saturday we cruised over to the A-Frame for lunch.

Later, scrubbed down cushions on the pontoon.

The pelicans were out, as it was really quiet on the lake today.

Sherry soaked up a few rays.

Time to enjoy nature at its best!

Took this pic for the boys. Many hours were spent turtle-hunting this summer.

The ducks were out in full force. They're still here - that's a good sign!

We'll miss this beautiful scenery!

Pontoon got covered. Hopefully it won't be picked up for awhile. We usually request for ours to be picked up last!

Boise State played Saturday night, so we were all inside for the game.

Ready to roll! Fridge cleaned out, cupboards bare, cushions, canapies, and umbrellas stored. (Mouse traps put in place!)

We still hope to be back a few more times, but you never know. Regardless, we've had a great summer, with many more memories made!

Sunday afternoon, we headed to Mom and Dad's to help with more Hostfest preparations. Sherry just finished lasagna, and is now mixing up pumpkin bars and brownies.

Mom is making her yummy lemon bars.

I'm helping too!

Mmmm! Looking good!

Meatballs ready for the freezer. We'll eat well this week!

Monday night we were off to Cole's last Cross Country run of the season at Oak Park. Claire enjoys all those crunchy oak leaves.

Cole is off and running!

Cole received his best finish ever - Eighth place! Way to go!
