Aug. 27

Week-end weather wasn't as predicted-Sat. high was 62, and cloudy all day. Anyway, Fri. night was great for tubing. Cole, Kaydra, and Kaydra's friend Mataya enjoyed tubing. Jayden arrived later, as he had football practice.
Claire loves jet-skiing, and prepares to give the kids a wild ride. Taj would love to come too, but so far has not been invited!
Dilly bars are a favorite of Claire's!
Jayden arrived around 10, with just enough time to share beginning of school year stories with Cole, along with a little i-pod time.
Time to plan the day's activities over muffins.
Look! No hands!
Jason and Claire always "High-five" each other.
The girls take a movie break during the afternoon.
(as do the boys!)

Sherry's famous for her lasagna. We decided to put it in the oven on what we thought would be a "fairly low" temp, and go on a little pontoon ride. Well, needless to say, the lasagna, (although edible), looked better pre-cooked than cooked!
Shopping in Bottineau is always fun to do when the weather doesn't cooperate. Claire, Tiff, & Jeni all came home with Sketchers.
They decide to try out their new Sketcher Shape-Ups on a walk to Canada.
On the way!
Claire tried hers out jogging up and down the driveway!
Jayden and Cole decided to catch up to the others.
Jayden got a new bike this summer, so decided to leave his old bike at the lake. Good idea!
The lake scooter is a little small for Cole, but you take what you can get at the lake!
Taja enjoys having Nathan take her on walks.
Jumping on the tramp and looking pretty while doing it, makes Claire happy!
Oops!
Kaydra and Mataya
Cole and Jayden prepare to "Double Tube" with the girls.
They had a great time switching back and forth from one tube to another.

Claire decided not to tube, as she forgot her suit at home. (although a jogging suit would have been better attire for this day!), and enjoyed another of her favorites-"donuts!"
Taja has become really good buddies with Tiff.N
No, Jason isn't "Facebooking" on the pontoon, although we thought he was. He was actually working out his "Fantasy Football" stuff.
Saturday night's ride required blankets.

Jason found some Jiffy Pop at Walmart, so just had to try it out. ( I haven't had this since our family's old camping days!)
Even though the weather wasn't the best, we all agreed the week-end was great! Hope Labor Day week-end's weather is better!

We went to Jayden's football game in Larimore. Jayden is Number 80.

Great games, Jayden!
Jayden went to Cooperstown with Grandparents Douvilles, so we drove to Grand Forks for a little eating and shopping.
